Many Maryland farmers and food companies make preventing waste a regular part of their business. One of the great tools available in the state is Maryland Food Bank’s Farm To Food Bank Program. This program engages a network of farms across the state in a partnership to provide hungry Marylanders with fresh, local produce. Through a combination of field gleanings, donations and contract growing, these farms help us supply good, nutritious food to food-insecure communities across the state.
