Farmer’s Markets

Maryland hosts over 100 farmers markets across the State where you can find fresh, seasonal produce, proteins, dairy, bread, and value added items, like sauces, baked goods and jams. Farmers markets are a great way to connect with your local producers and community members and try new foods that were grown in your local foodshed.

Many markets also accept federal nutrition benefits like the Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The State-funded Maryland Market Money program matches federal nutrition benefits up to $20 per transaction per day and is available in more than 60 different access points across the State.
