Welcome to Maryland’s Best – Maryland’s state-wide marketing organization connecting consumers to farmers. Maryland’s Best is operated by the marketing team at the Maryland Department of Agriculture. Our goal is to highlight the many diverse farmers and products we have across the state and be a one-stop shop for consumers who want to support buying local.
Maryland’s Best Producer is a
- Farmer,
- Grower, or
- Waterman
that grows, raises, or harvests raw agricultural or seafood products in the State of Maryland.
Maryland’s Best Maker is a Maryland-based food or goods manufacturer that demonstrates intent to source local ingredients and support Maryland’s Best Producers.
Maryland’s Best Promoter is a Maryland-based restaurant, retailer, or farmer markets that demonstrates intent to feature and showcase Maryland’s Best Producers and Makers.
We need YOU to make that happen!
When you register for Maryland’s Best, you will receive the following:
- Access to Maryland’s Best logo for promotional materials
- Listing on our website which serves as the hub for consumers to find any and all local agricultural and seafood products
- Promotional support from the state geared towards Maryland’s Best via Facebook, Instagram, X, billboards, signage, radio, and TV (depending on the budget available).
Currently, we have over 1,000 members and our goal is to have 100% of all Maryland farms, seafood providers, and agritourism businesses listed in one location. Share with a friend (and e-mail us letting us know) and once they sign up, we will send you a Maryland’s Best goodie bag!
