Cider Cheese Spread
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/2 tsp prepared mustard
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- Mix until well blended. To prepare apple slices for spread: Cut peeled apples to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Hint: To keep apple slices fresh, dip then in either of the following mixtures,
- - 2 tsp Fruit Fresh and 3 tbsp water, or
- - 2 tsp lemon juice and 3 tbsp water.
- (slices will keep several hours in tightly sealed container)
