Hen and Her Roots is a small, woman-owned poultry farm located in Charles County, Maryland, dedicated to providing fresh, locally produced, high-quality eggs and poultry products to Southern Maryland communities. Our farm specializes in farm-fresh chicken and quail eggs, with plans to expand into hatching eggs, live chicks, and locally raised quail meat. We prioritize responsible poultry management, flock health, biosecurity, and sustainable small-scale agricultural practices. Our mission is to increase access to fresh, affordable, locally produced protein while supporting Maryland agriculture and strengthening local food systems.
