We take our responsibility to steward this land and farm, for future generations, very seriously. The farm is in an agricultural trust preservation in addition to being USDA Certified Organic. We think that improved human and animal health depends on the restoration of our soils. Our vitality is only achieved with food that’s full of vitality. It must be fresh and it must be clean.
The Silk Farm is open to the public, and we sell organic blueberries when they are in season (mid-June through mid-August). We also sell heritage tomatoes and many varieties of sweet corn, all USDA Certifies Organic. Please feel free to call us if you are interested in large quantities of our produce, so that we can have it available for you for pick-up. We are selling at the Chestertown Farmers Market starting in mid-June. We welcome you to the farm during the weekends and during the week as well, as we are always here, working outside all summer long. Whatever produce we have we are glad to sell, and the above is only our main focus. We love to talk about clean, fresh food with like-minded people.
