The Farmers Market at the NCI-Frederick is open to everyone. The NCI-Frederick, part of the National Institutes of Health, is located within the Fort Detrick fence. Fort Detrick is a military base open to the general public. Individuals who do not have a vehicle sticker for base entry must have a photo ID and be prepared for a vehicle search, visitor entry gates are identified.
The Market offers a variety of fruits and vegetables (some certified organic), in addition to Black Angus beef, eggs, emu products (including jerky, meat, pet treats, and an entire line of skin care items), a variety of baked goods, jams and jellies, cider in the fall, cut flowers and plants, Alpaca products (including clothing and yarn), coffees, honey, specialty olive oils and vinegar’s, maple syrup products, cheese, mustards, salsas, pasta/pizza sauces, and many other items from our vendors. The Market also offers a variety of crafts during the season.
