Established in 1943 as a tobacco and field corn farm by my husbands parents. In 1960's this changed to a vegetable and fruit farm due to inability to find labor to harvest the tobacco. In 1978 my husband Bill and I started to reclaim a lot of the land left fallow and start commercially farming the property. We expanded the small orchard and now sell at our farm stand, three farmers markets, and restaurants, caterers, a cooking school, buyers clubs, and to food distribution charities such as Bread for the City in Washington D.C.
