Welcome to Maryland Buy Local Week during which all things local – from cheese to cut flowers – are highlighted to encourage Marylanders to Buy Local! Once again we are challenging you to make the pledge and commit to buying something local from July 18 through July 28. Buying local can look like a visit to a farmer’s market to purchase locally grown produce, meats and other goods to dining at a restaurant sourcing local ingredients. And to make Buying Local even easier, your Maryland’s Best team has put together a full list of items locally produced – and where to find them. So take the pledge and support Maryland agriculture- Buy Local!
