Fall is here and it’s the perfect time to celebrate apples! This year we have plenty of activities and events for you to enjoy Maryland apples. Join us in “Take a Bite of Maryland” print out an Apple Buddy below and bring them to one of our events or any Maryland orchard and be entered to win a prize!

Take your Buddy to an event below or one of the many Maryland Orchards.

Snap a photo of your buddy, post it on Facebook or Instagram and tag @mdsbest and the Orchard or location you are visiting. Each week 10 photos will be randomly selected and sent an apple prize!

**If you don’t have a social media account, you can also e-mail your submissions to marylands.best@maryland.gov.

**No purchase necessary. Must be 18+ to win and a resident of Maryland. Winners will be selected Oct 7, 14, 21, 28. 

TAKE A BITE OF MARYLAND EVENTS

  • 9/27 – Kick-off event at UPDATED LOCATIONButlers Orchard Market- sample apple cider, pick apples, and stock up on all the baked apple goodies! Bring your “Apple Buddy” or create your own on-site! Secretary Atticks from the Maryland Department of Agriculture will also be on site awarding Butler’s Orchard the official proclamation for Maryland Apple Month!
  • 9/29, 3pm-8pm – (Ravens vs. Bills)Join us at the Ravens TailGOAT in partnership with Jimmy’s Seafood. Enjoy delicious apples and be sure to bring your “Apple Buddy” or create your own on site. Tickets must be purchase ahead of time and can be found here
  • 10/5, 10am-1pmEnoch Pratt Free Library – Visit their Apple Fest and check out activities for kids and adults alike! 
  • 10/13, 8am-1pm – (Ravens vs. Washington)Join us at the Ravens TailGOAT in partnership with Jimmy’s Seafood. Enjoy delicious apples and be sure to bring your “Apple Buddy” or create your own on site. Tickets must be purchase ahead of time and can be found here
  • 10/13, 7am-Noon – Find the Maryland’s Best booth at the 32nd Street Farmers Market, handing out apple items and orchard information. While you’re there, pick up some local apples!
