Spring Holidays!

Spring Holidays!

Spring is upon us which gives us all another opportunity to sit down with friends and family to enjoy delicious, locally grown, harvested, and sourced foods! Whether you are celebrating Passover, Easter, or just looking to have a picnic in the park – we have the local proteins and produce you need to make your meal more Maryland!

Passover, or Pesach in Hebrew, is a major Jewish holiday that commemorates the Israelites’ liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt, celebrated with a week-long festival including a traditional meal called a Seder, the removal of leavened products, and the retelling of the Exodus story. This year, Passover is from April 12th through April 20th.

When preparing for your Sedar or any meals during this time, consider using the following local products:

Eggs
Leafy greens
Lamb

Fish such as white perch or black sea bass which can be found at Whole Foods, Wegman’s, Giant or your local seafood stores! Make sure you ask if it’s from Maryland!
