Spice Creek is an enterprise committed to growing agricultural products, stewarding ecological land-based practices, and increasing access to nutritional foods in Brandywine, MD. Our mission is to encourage people to develop a deeper understanding of their relationship with agriculture, ultimately to strengthen their connection to their farm community. We envision a future in which every Mid-Atlantic consumer can responsibly source nutrient dense foods, enjoy seasonal offerings, and pass on recipes that help loved ones return around the dining room table. Spice Creek is one of several farms in the Patuxent River corridor, which includes producers and trainers that contribute to seeding a dynamic, responsive foodshed in southern Maryland. Through direct-to-consumer sales, beginner farmer training, our collective engages community through advocacy, demonstration, and education. *An agrarian corridor for community growing* Our storefront isn’t just for retailing, our annex extends our capacity to service the community by centering opportunities for training and knowledge sharing. You can pick up produce, sign up for a cooking workshop, or register for a hands-on learning series. Proceeds generated in-store help localize foodways and our economy.
