Maryland’s grain farmers manage about a million acres in the state. Much of the corn, soybean, wheat and barley production in the state goes to support Maryland’s top ag sector, poultry production on the Eastern Shore. According to the USDA NASS 2013 Statistics, grain farmers produce about $678 million in grains and oil seeds.
