Crabs and baseball, that’s what Maryland does! Summertime is the perfect season to enjoy locally sourced Maryland crab meat. When you head to your favorite restaurant and/or retailer, be sure to look for the True Blue symbol! When you see the True Blue logo, you are guaranteed to enjoy fresh delicious crab dishes made from local Maryland crab meat.

By eating locally sourced crab meat through the True Blue program, you are supporting the local seafood industry including watermen and seafood processors.  You can also be assured the Maryland crab meat being served on the menu is tested to ensure quality, unlike crab meat from overseas.

So look for the True Blue symbol at your favorite restaurant and if you don’t see it, ask why!

The ‘True Blue’ program allows restaurants and retail stores serving Maryland blue crab products to use a special logo in marketing or advertising the product. Once an establishment is signed up they receive a ‘True Blue’ logo to signify to their patrons that they are a True Blue member. Participation is promoted through social media and the MarylandsBest.net website that gets 30,000 visits a month.

Make sure you know, it’s True Blue! Afterall, “Crabcakes and basebal- that’s what Maryland does!”
